GoTopless in Venice Beach, CA Sunday August 23

On Sunday August 23rd, the women and men of Venice Beach will once again join the happy march by the thousands and stand up for women's right to freely Go Topless! The group will gather at noon on Ocean Front Walk at Navy St. There, the women will take off the tops and hide their indecent nipples with latex nipple covers...that look EXACTLY like nipples! you remember them don't you? We will have them ready for every women who wants to experience going topless as far as the city of Venice will allow her to.
Did you know that in the 1970's Venice Beach was a nude beach? And now... even a woman's nipple has become indecent. That's because our society has become more civilized over time, more family friendly, they tell us. It is difficult to understand how the millions of European children cope on the beach in Europe every summer.
Well, speaking about growing more civilized, and family friendly, Gotopless has a challenge for the men this year too. We all agree that the law is unequal, right? Men can go topless and women can't. So if women's breasts are once and for all ruled indecent, the men are going to have to cover up their chest to keep the law constitutional...That is why Gotopless invites the men to experiment having to cover their chest like women do all the time, but for a few hours. On Gotopless day, feel free to join the march wearing a bra or a bathing suit top to understand how the other half lives for a little while...

Once everyone is ready and has put plenty of sunblock on their breasts (hint hint...ladies) the march will begin at the beat of the drum circle group. We will march all the way to our permanent stage on the other side of the muscle beach open gym, one block south of Windward circle.

Group meets at noon on Ocean Front Walk at Navy St. March starts at 1PM towards "muscle beach" stage for our speech and entertainment at 2PM until 4PM

Once at the permanent stage, Gotopless promises you a great afternoon of (almost) topless entertainment! Bands, singers, dancers, comedians and of course a Gotopless speech to express how wonderful it is, it feels for a woman to be topfree in public or not and to know that this act happens to be constitutional!
